About This Event

Classical music gets a swing in its step in this all-American concert by the UK’s National Youth Jazz Orchestra.

Former BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist Benjamin Grosvenor is the soloist in Gershwin’s intoxicating Rhapsody in Blue – an exhilarating mix of jazz rhythms and classical virtuosity.

This upbeat programme also showcases the popular side of Leonard Bernstein – who was, like Gershwin, renowned as both jazz pianist and composer. Expect dazzling performances from some of this country’s finest young musicians.

There will be no interval
