Ashley Young sounds like he's leaving Manchester United for Inter Milan (though exactly when is to be confirmed), while United are apparently looking at a possible midfield addition, namely Donny van de Beek.

Gareth Bale is staying at Real Madrid while Darren Randolph and Gedson Fernandes are both being strongly tipped to complete moves to West Ham.

Oh and Ryan Babel could be heading back to Ajax.

Gareth Bale will not be leaving Real Madrid in January and is also "very unlikely" to depart the club this summer, according to his agent.

Jonathan Barnett has addressed question marks over Bale's future by saying his client - who is contracted to Real until June 2022 - will be staying at the Bernabeu.

Barnett told ESPN that Bale is "going nowhere" while the January transfer window is open and is also "very unlikely" to move in the summer of 2020.

Middlesbrough Head Coach Jonathan Woodgate has confirmed to BBC Tees Sport that goalkeeper Darren Randolph is in talks with a Premier League club.

It’s understood that club is West Ham United, who have been interest in the Republic of Ireland international for some time.

The 32 year-old hasn't played a game for The Boro since aggravating a thigh injury during the 2-2 draw with Hull on 24 November.

It’s reported a fee of around four million pounds has been agreed.

"We are assessing the situation with three of them [young players]. We are evaluating all the offers that they have from different clubs, where would suit them more and if it's the right time for them to make that step. In the next few days, we will tell you exactly what will happen.

"With Eddie it's the same situation. I sat down with him and was very impressed with him. I think it was a great challenge for him to work in that environment in Leeds. I think he's become a much better player, a much more competitive player.

"The decision to make now is whether it's better to send him out for another five months to realise his potential and have him ready for next season, or keep him here."

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future at the club:

"My intention is to keep Auba because I know that if we keep Auba with us, we will be stronger and closer to winning football matches with him.

"I'm confident that he's very happy here because that's what he said in the media.

"I’m not expecting big things [in the transfer window], expecting big things from players I have at the moment. If we can find something to help us go through the season in a more balanced way in certain areas and is helpful, we'll look at the options."

The Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is up now and starts by praising his opposite number Roy Hodgson.

"Every time I played there, I suffered," Arteta said. "It was always tough. It is a very complicated stadium.

"Roy Hodgson is a manager with incredible experience and what he is doing there, it is very impressive and it will be tough.

He confirms that Johann Berg Gudmundsson has a minor hamstring injury that means he will miss the weekend game. While Ashley Barnes will visit a specialist on his troublesome groin injury, and Phil Bardsley and Jay Rodriguez have both been absent from training through illness.

"Everyone always looks for external solutions, but you can always improve the players you've got," says Graham Potter when asked about players coming in.

"Of course you always look if you can improve. But there's no point signing someone for the sake of it. I have a good group here, and we can still get better."

Brighton boss Graham Potter has been undertaking his press duties this afternoon and as you might have guessed transfers was top of the agenda.

"There's nothing to report on Glenn Murray. He's been training as normal and available for this weekend after his knock that meant he missed the cup game," said Potter.

Bit of West Ham team news from David Moyes: "It looks like Ryan [Fredericks] has got a hamstring injury which will keep him out between four to six weeks. He seems to think he feels quite good and won't be as long as that, so I hope he's right.

"[Michail] Antonio is still feeling his hamstring. He's not quite ready yet. Jack Wilshere has been in the gym and is working towards coming back, I couldn't give you an exact date at the moment.

"Andriy [Yarmolenko] has gone for another injection in his thigh, so we hope he's not going to be too long."

More from West Ham boss David Moyes: "I have to say I didn't see their [Sheffield United's] success coming immediately in Premier League, but I shouldn't have been surprised because the manager's done a brilliant job.

"They've all come up from the lower leagues and shown that they can play in the Premier League, and I think that comes from having a really good team and manager, and they all know what's expected from them.

"I quite enjoy seeing managers who have to earn their stripes, prove themselves in the lower leagues, and then they move up. It's not a fluke, and that's why we shouldn't be surprised with how well Sheffield United have done."

West Ham manager David Moyes on Gedson Fernandes: "We're linked with lots of players. I think more importantly he's a young player with potential.

West Ham have by the looks of it, excuse the pun, got a few irons in the fire.

Manager David Moyes says that a deal for Middlesbrough and Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Darren Randolph is not far away and that he is also looking at reinforcing his backroom team.

On Randolph, Moyes said: "He's been carrying a bit of an injury for several weeks and we have to make sure that heals. I'm very hopeful that will happen."

On his backroom staff: "We're looking at it. There are several people looking for a position, and there's also other people we have in mind as well. We have been extremely busy in the last week-and-a-half since I've come in."
