Partick Thistle: Kenny Miller reunited with Gary Caldwell at Firhill

Watch: Miller's goals from last season

Kenny Miller says the lure of working under former team-mate Gary Caldwell convinced him to sign a one-year-deal with Partick Thistle.

Miller, 39, left Dundee having scored eight goals for a side relegated from the Scottish Premiership last term.

Now he will face Dundee in the second tier under the stewardship of former Celtic and Scotland team-mate Caldwell.

"I'm delighted to come here and work with someone whose views align very closely with my own," Miller said.

"It's fair to say he has had a few bumps along the way but the detail the manager goes into and the way he speaks about football is something I can very closely identify with."

Miller will join up with the Thistle squad on Wednesday at their pre-season training camp in La Manga.

And, having started last term as player/manager of Livingston before moving to Dundee in August, he insists he remains determined to succeed despite his age.

"Despite being in the latter stages of my career I'm as hungry as I've ever been to be successful," said the former Scotland forward.

"I want to win, I want to score goals, I want to be the most determined guy in the dressing room and I look forward to doing that here at Thistle."
