The autonomous Kurdish region of Iraq has a 620-mile (1,000km) frontline with so-called Islamic State.
BBC Middle East correspondent Orla Guerin has been embedded with Kurdish Peshmerga troops there and describes the reality of filming in a war zone in range of IS mortars.
