Zebra One Gallery is joining forces with the Amy Winehouse Foundation to present ‘Hope,’ an exhibition of never-before-seen photos of the jazz icon. 

A charity auction of artworks by celebrated artists including Mason Storm, Dan Pearce and Finn Stone will take place on 13 September - the day after what would have been Amy's 33rd birthday - at Soho's Century Club to raise money for the Amy Winehouse foundation. 

The pictures will then move to Zebra One Gallery in Hampstead for a month.

Controversial plans to demolish a park lodge and replace it with a block of eight flats – have been refused.  

Earlier a £20m fund and a review board was announced in a bid to improve Southern rail services.

The Mayor of London has called for TfL to take over the franchise.

Queen guitarist Brian May joined Kashmira Cooke, sister of Freddie Mercury, at the unveiling of an English Heritage blue plaque to the band's lead singer at his former home at 22 Gladstone Avenue in Feltham, west London. 

Police appeal over unprovoked assault at Papa’s Chicken in Newham, east London, on 27 July.

The victim, 25, was punched and hit over the head with a chair, Met Police say.

The suspect ran off along Milton Avenue. He later returned to the rear of the shop armed with a knife and left upon police arrival.

He is described as a slim, muscular Bengali man, aged in his mid 30s and 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing blue trousers and a blue hooded top.

A man has been arrested after a teenager was shot in the head outside his home and left in a critical condition. 

The 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in the early hours of this morning, police said. 

The victim, who is 18, is believed to have been standing with a group of friends at the address in Turnpike Lane, north London, at around 15:30 on Tuesday when a man opened fire at them. 

He was treated by paramedics and an air ambulance crew after his mother called for help and is in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A Blue Plaque marking the first home Freddie Mercury lived in when he arrived in England has been unveiled.

The Queen frontman moved to the semi-detached home in Feltham, west London, after his family left Zanzibar in 1964 when Mercury was 17.

The singer was living in the house when he met two other members of the band - Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Kashmira Cooke, his sister, said he "secretly would have been very proud and pleased" to receive the honour.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder by police investigating the death of a banker feared to have been killed by a single punch.

Oliver Dearlove, 30, died after allegedly being hit by a man while waiting for a taxi after a night out in Blackheath in south-east London on Sunday.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of his killing and of actual bodily harm this morning, police said. 

Mr Dearlove, from Eltham, had been in a bar with friends in Montpelier Vale earlier in the night before heading to Tranquil Vale, where they are believed to have started speaking to a group of women. 

The suspect is alleged to have approached the group, before attacking one of Mr Dearlove's friends and then striking him at around 00:45. The relationship manager at Duncan Lawrie Private Bank died in hospital.  

 Croydon Council has agreed to sell the Taberner House site.  

Flowers have been left and tributes have been paid to Rosie Cooper, a woman named locally as a victim of a crash in Penge. 

Emma Cameron lives nearby and said Rosie was a 'genuinely lovely girl.'

Rail, Maritime and Transport union general secretary Mick Cash said: "Thisstinks of another multimillion-pound taxpayer subsidy to bail out the failingSouthern rail part of the Govia Thameslink franchise. 

"If there's money to prop up this private outfit, why isn't there cash available to make sure that the guards and safety are protected on their trains? 

"If this huge chunk of money was allocated to maintaining the safety-critical role and the jobs of the train guards on the Southern services, we could have avoided the strike action that has been forced on us again next week by the penny-pinching, profiteering and intransigence of Southern/GTR."
