Pete Tong First

Pete Tong is joined by Sasha, Chase & Status, Goldie and Kölsch to talk about his firsts - his very first show, the first Ibiza broadcast, and first plays of some iconic tracks.

Celebrating 25 years with Radio 1, Pete Tong looks back at his career so far, with the help of some of the people who have played a part in his journey.

Joined by Sasha, Chase & Status, Goldie and Kölsch, Pete talks the 'firsts' - from his very first show on Radio 1, to the launch of the Essential Mix, which was the UK's first mix show, to the first Ibiza broadcast and the first plays of some iconic tracks.

With further contributions from the biggest electronic names, hear the man who helped make dance culture what it is today discuss his career and how it impacted the nation. As well as that, he talks lowlights, highlights, his own cockney rhyming slang, how he felt being awarded his MBE, along with a few surprises and entertaining stories along the way.
