He says people still think Essex are a small club. Not too sure about that Si!

No surprises that Essex skipper Simon Harmer is named as man of the match for his 3-16 and crucial 18 not out to see the Eagles home.

Presentation time... umpires and scorers first.

Essex captain Simon Harmer on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra:

"We said at the beginning of the competition everybody from the club to the supporters it's always been about the Championship and we're just happy to be in the T20 but I really really wanted that.

"It was one of those days were everything came off, my bowling and my batting, it's a special night.

"Obviously being my first as captain and to finish it like that, it doesn't get any better."

Well played Bopara, Essex were at crisis point, but he saw them home.

Harmer was so good with the ball across finals day, you knew he was going to hit the winning runs.

When you've lost by such a fine margin, you've got to stand there and watch the opposition celebrate, this is the worst part of a final.

Pat Brown is still on the floor, you've got to feel sorry for him, this is his format.

Fair play to the ECB, they get this Finals Day exactly right.

You could have not asked for a better final.

T20 Blast, possibly the last in this format, and it's gone down to the wire.

Well done to Simon Harmer, he adapted, the conditions were right for him and he capitalised, getting the ball turning, winning the toss maybe the right decision in that scenario.
