Shanghai Masters: Mark Allen beats Judd Trump 6-1 to make semi-finals

Allen had to come from behind to beat Wenbo
Northern Ireland's Mark Allen compiled five breaks of over 50 as he beat world number one Judd Trump 6-1 to make the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters.
The Antrim man raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to breaks of 63 and 62 and, after extending his lead, Trump replied with a 109 to make it 3-1.
Breaks of 55, 73 and 69 saw Allen take victory and book a last-four clash with former world champion Shaun Murphy.
Neil Robertson beat Barry Hawkins 6-2 in their quarter-final on Thursday.
Robertson moved 4-0 ahead, before Hawkins recovered to 5-2, but a 60 in the final frame saw the Australian progress.
Robertson, who also had breaks of 115, 73 and 68, will face Ronnie O'Sullivan or Kyren Wilson in the semi-finals. Hawkins put together runs of 114, 99 and 57.
Allen, ranked seven in the world, had defeated Liang Wenbo 6-5 on Wednesday to make the quarter-finals of the Invitation event, but was delighted to bring Trump's 13-match winning streak to an end.
"It is very satisfying to beat the world number one by any scoreline," said Allen after his success.
"I made a few mistakes but Judd missed a few balls he wouldn't normally miss and overall I felt like I played the better snooker.
"A 13-match winning run has to come to an end at some point and to beat him and bring that to an end is a proud moment for me.
"To be playing consistently at the high level he has been for so long speaks volumes for where his game is."
