FA Cup first round: Karen Carney and Jermaine Beckford to conduct draw

Maldon & Tiptree are eagerly awaiting news of a potential money-spinning FA Cup tie when they host the first-round draw live on the BBC on Monday evening.

The Isthmian League North Division side and Isthmian League South East Division team Chichester, could face former winners Ipswich Town or Sunderland.

The non-league duo - among the lowest-ranked teams left in the cup - are four promotions off the Football League.

The draw takes place at 19:00 BST and will be shown live on BBC Two.

Five-time Women's FA Cup winner Karen Carney and ex-Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford will be making the draw.

Forty seven sides from Leagues One and Two will be joined by 32 non-league teams, although there are still nine ties to be decided following Saturday's fourth-qualifying round.

There are eight replays, while the match between Haringey Borough and Yeovil Town was abandoned on Saturday amid reports of racial abuse.

The day of the FA Cup first-round draw is one non-league clubs look out for, with lucrative ties against some of the most established names in English football a possibility.

One club will receive a bye to round two when the first-round draw is made, following Bury's removal from the competition.

The final club left in the pot will receive the bye and be awarded the £36,000 prize money for a first-round winner.

The first round is scheduled for the weekend of 9-10 November.
