Li Rui: China's red rebel turns 100

Li Rui was born 100 years ago, shortly before the fall of China’s empire.

As a young man, he joined the Communist Party.

The BBC's Carrie Gracie met the former secretary to Chairman Mao - a man who dared to speak out then, and who remains an independent voice to this day.
