in2scienceUK
Since 2011 in2scienceUK has been supporting young people from low-income backgrounds by giving them high quality work placement experience in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). The in2scienceUK work placement programme allows young people to undertake real research with STEM professionals, gaining confidence and supportive role models for a lifetime.
Sarah
Sarah, whose story you hear in the Radio 4 Appeal, said “The in2scienceUK programme reignited my passion for medicine. Without the in2scienceUK programme, I would not be studying medicine today. I have my placement host to thank for supporting me and becoming my role model to this day.”
Caroline
“This placement has encouraged me to [go to] university so I can find out even more about the world I’ve yet to discover. I really enjoyed my time in the lab and working with people who have real knowledge and experience in their field. Learning from them was a blast!”
Impact
in2scienceUK gives young people like Aaliyah the voice and skills they need to progress towards STEM careers. With your support, in2scienceUK will continue to expand their award winning programme to reach more young people in need of their support. Which in turn helps provide the science and technology professionals which the country needs.
