That's the last drop of reaction squeezed out of the football well so I'm going to knock our live coverage on the head for the day.

Don't forget Match of the Day is on tonight at 22:20 BST. I'll leave you with a reminder of the running order from the other Gary.

  2. 'We can take positive things from the game'

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Unai Emery, speaking to Sky Sports: “We’re disappointed with the result but we can take positive things from the game.

“We were a little more deep, but we also had the positivity to try to score.

“In the first half, the best chance was for us with Pepe. The key was the second goal, it was a really soft penalty. I don’t think it was enough, but our reaction after that was good.

“The impact of Lucas [Torreira], Lacazette and Mkhitaryan was good. Joe Willock also made another step today.

“I am positive because we are going to improve. We can be happy with different players and how they are working.”

YuleShiks: Today's performance was excellent. Slowly building the team despite the loss. Liverpool are a strong solid team built by Klopp with patience. If Koulibaly can come in Jan, teams should be very worried. Good times ahead for the Gooners!

Tumusiime Raymond: Emery is underwhelming. Arsenal deserved better, poor line-up. Why not start Alexandre Lacazette or,Lucas Torreira? He will be sacked if he continues like this.

  4. 'I did not see a bad player tonight'

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to MOTD: "We watched seven or eight games of Arsenal and there was no diamond but we adapted well. We showed aggression and passion. In defending moments we were a bit too greedy, a bit too aggressive all going for the ball instead of spreading the options.

"We are still really early in the season and throwing such energy on the pitch is exceptional. The work rate of the whole team was exceptional. Tactical discipline was exceptional apart from maybe 10-15 minutes.

"Roberto Firmino what a player he is, unbelievable. I am really happy with the performance. I did not see a bad player tonight or a player that played under his level. Fabinho played sensational."

UncleSam: I feel the match was winnable or at least Arsenal could have got a draw but the players weren't properly utilised and the game under-managed. There was no reason Lacazette couldn't have started the game.

Sulaimon Adelekan: I am not disappointed in the defeat. It was expected. Spurs coming up next. So there must be massive improvement.

  6. 'We are not Disneyland'

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, speaking to Sky Sports: “It was a brilliant game from my side so early in the season. It was outstanding. It was a performance full of power, energy, greed and passion, which I think you need to have against a team like Arsenal.

"We were a bit surprised by their system. We couldn’t know that they would play a diamond, but we switched things around and coped very well.

“The last 10 minutes I saw the possession - 53 to 47 or something like that - but over 80 minutes it must have been completely different. For 80 minutes we were completely in charge of the game. We are not Disneyland, we do not need to excite everyone in every second.”

  7. 'Our identity is our intensity'

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, speaking to Sky Sports: “We had enough bodies and legs to put them under pressure. We had the full-backs really high. The boys did what we wanted them to do and scored wonderful goals.

“The decision about the penalty I think was absolutely obvious. Mo’s third goal was absolutely amazing, but the pedigree of the boys is sensational. Our identity is intensity, and we showed that today.

“What we did really well in the first four games we did today longer and more precise. People talk that our defending is this or that – most of the time it has nothing to do with the last line but how we react in certain situations.”

On not keeping a clean sheet: “I would have loved to have it, but things can happen. They're a quality side, Arsenal. I didn’t see that many chances, but we were really in charge today and completely deserved the win.”

SMS Message: Why do people criticise so quickly?! Yes Arsenal spent a lot of money in the summer but we're just 3 games in. Players need time to settle into a new league or team. We WILL come good and overall that was a better performance than recent performances at Anfield. Patience people! from Jamie, Camden

  9. We can be optimistic'

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Unai Emery, speaking to MOTD: "Today the first half we worked together. We were doing some transition very good and we had some chances but the second half the penalty was very soft. After 2-0 our reaction was good. We needed to attack and take a different moment in the match.

"Yes we are disappointed we lost 3-1 but watching some players we can be optimistic. We need to improve in possession and countering the pressure but Liverpool is the best team with this.

"We have to be realistic but we can fight closer to them. For me today, without the result there were some good periods we showed."

Craig Smith: Arsenal have fought till the end. Beaten by the best team in Europe away from home. Need to take this fighting spirit going forward.

Chris Lord: 3-1 last time at Anfield, so no sign of improvement at first glance but Pepe has shown flashes as Maitland-Niles still isn’t our first choice RB. Think not starting Lacazette was the mistake. Hold the faith!

B Couture: The value of Alisson for Liverpool is showing. Since he's out Liverpool keep conceeding

  11. 'It is about performing and winning'

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    Liverpool

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson, speaking to MOTD: "It was a really good performance overall. If we are being critical we are disappointed with the goal but overall delighted with the three points.

On laying down a marker: "I don't really care. It is about performing and winning. Each week we want to step on the grass and focus on winning. That is all the focus is on."

  12. 'I'm happy I could score'

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    Liverpool

Liverpool defender Joel Matip, speaking to Sky Sports: “It was a tough game against a deep-lying and high-quality team.

“If a team is standing on the edge of the box with eight players, it’s hard for any team to get through. You need time to find space.

“Their forwards are so quick. You cannot defend every situation but in a lot of moments we did OK. If you give a team like Arsenal space up front it will be really difficult.

“After three games it doesn’t say too much. We’ve won the first three games and now we’re looking forward to Burnley.”

On scoring his second goal of the season: “I hope it’s the beginning. I’m happy I could score. I hope in the next few weeks another goal will come.”

  13. Post update

    .

Very early days, but how's that table look, Liverpool fans?

  14. 'I think they will do better'

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    Alan Kennedy

Former Liverpool left-back on BBC Radio Merseyside

Arsenal have great players, they are just bedding in at the minute. The more they work together, the better they will be. I think they are going to do better than people expected this season.

JChesterUnited: This isn't good for Liverpool, they won't admit it, but Arsenal are closing on them. Whilst Manchester City are pulling away from Liverpool. Not at all convincing from the champions of Europe against half of Arsenal's first team, including several new, half integrated players.

JavelBleach: Looking at the #Arsenal squad, I don't believe there was a better strategy #Emery could have used today, whatever his critics have to say. They were never going to equal #Liverpool

Hascim Wamutitu: Outplayed, outfought and outthought...Liverpool deservingly win here. Liverpool are very good at Anfield but Arsenal didn't do anything to win there.

  16. 'You can see the strength in Liverpool'

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    Alan Kennedy

Former Liverpool left-back on BBC Radio Merseyside

They are showing resilience. Although at one stage they looked like they thought they were cruising, you can see the strength in the squad. Everyone of those players is shattered. They have worked their socks off to get those goals. They have great players. They showed why they are a force to be reckoned with.

  17. FULL-TIME

    Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

    Indeed it is.

Liverpool's unbeaten start to the season continues with a dominant win against Arsenal.
