Northern Turkey hit by severe flash flooding

Severe flash flooding has hit Turkey’s Black Sea region to the north of the country.

Seventeen people have reportedly died, with more than 1,400 people evacuated from the areas affected.

Some residents were rescued from the roofs of flooded homes by helicopter.
