About this event
Join the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and conductor Stephen Bell at City Halls to celebrate the Last Night of the Proms in Scotland!
There’s a touch of jazz to this year’s proceedings with an evening that includes Scottish saxophonist Tommy Smith, Bernstein’s Prelude, Fugue and Riffs and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the dazzling Joanna MacGregor on piano. Celebrated soprano Carolyn Sampson joins the line up with arias and songs by Mozart and Noël Coward, and there’s a host of orchestral favourites by Bizet, Mendelssohn, Richard Rogers and John Williams.
Tenor and BBC Radio Scotland presenter Jamie MacDougall is your host, so book now and join in the UK wide celebrations for the final evening of the world’s greatest classical music festival.
