Southwark knife attack victim, 19, stabbed in the chest

A 19-year-old man has been stabbed in the chest in a knife attack in south-east London, Metropolitan Police said.

Officers were called to Spa Road in Southwark at about 2350 GMT on Friday where they found the wounded man.

The victim, who remains in hospital, is in a serious but stable condition. He has not suffered life-threatening injuries.

Inquiries into the attack have begun but no arrests have been made as yet, police said.
