  4. Northamptonshire flooding: Water rising in the River Nene

    Earlier Paula Marriott sent us a picture of the rising water in the River Nene, photographed from her bedroom window in Kingsthorpe.

    A few hours later - the river is looking more like a lake.

  5. Northamptonshire flooding: School children ferried across water by boat

    The village of Yelvertoft has been badly affected by today's floods.

    Ronnie Rochester, from Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service, was in charge of the operation to get children from the village school across the flood waters.

    "We've coordinated with parents to turn up at the same time, and we've moved them across the body of water in a boat," he said.

  11. Northamptonshire flooding: Train services still disrupted

    Due to severe flooding London Midland is unable to run a full service between Rugby and Milton Keynes - which includes Northampton.

    The company is advising customers to avoid travelling in this area.

    I've been in Yelvertoft today, where the children's school run home was by boat.

  16. Northamptonshire flooding: Gainsborough Road car rescue video

    I brought you the news earlier that four people had to be rescued after their car was trapped in flood water on Gainsborough Road in Corby.

    I took this video footage of the incident while I was there. Police are warning people to avoid driving through deep water.

  19. Northamptonshire flooding: Alternative taxi service in Yelvertoft

    Sue Baker, from Yelvertoft, took this image of people canoeing through the flood water in the village. 

    She said: "This chap was ferrying people across the centre of the village rather than enjoying himself. Until the fire brigade arrived with a boat he was doing it on his own. What a star."
