    The developers of Beverley's Flemingate Shopping Centre have hinted they may appeal against the East Riding Council's decision to stop them opening more small shops at the centre.

  7. Humberside Police apologise over broken leg strip search misconduct

    There's been further reaction to the news that five Humberside Police officers have been found guilty of misconduct after leaving a man with broken legs naked in a cell for five hours.

    The man ultimately faced no charges.

  9. Roadworks at Jocks Lodge extended

    Roadworks on the Jocks Lodge Interchange (pictured) near Beverley are to be extended by one night.

    The work, which has been ongoing this week, was supposed to be finished on Tuesday morning.

    The eastbound interchange will now be closed from 7pm on Tuesday to 6am on Wednesday.

  12. Volunteers required for Beverley Puppet Festival

    The Beverley Puppet Festival is trying to recruit volunteers to help with the festival between 15 and 17 July. 

    Participants will get free tickets to events.

    It’s the seventh Beverley Puppet Festival and will feature adult and children’s puppet shows from the UK and abroad.

  13. Sport: Hull KR charter flights to France

    Hull Kingston Rovers will travel to France and back tomorrow for their game with Catalans.

    They've decided to spurn scheduled flights due to the travelling time so instead will fly from Kirmington on a charter aircraft.
