It's not known what he is currently wearing, but it's thought that he may have travelled to the Louth area.

Lincolnshire Police would like to speak to him to know that he is safe and well.

A major decontamination operation of two sites near Woodhall Spa where dozens of mustard gas canisters were uncovered is "likely to be completed in November", top military research specialists say.

Porton Down experts removed 150 canisters from Roughton Moor Woods and Stixwould Lake after the discovery on 1 October.

Two people sustained minor burns and three people who were arrested on suspicion of possessing a noxious substance were bailed.

Some of the mustard gas leaked into the soil and work to test, remove and incinerate it is due to start this month.

Many East Midlands Trains services between Lincoln Central and Leicester have been cancelled and replacement buses are being provided.

More investment is needed in Lincolnshire's roads, according to transport minister John Hayes.

Mr Hayes, who is also MP for South Holland and The Deepings, has been speaking at Lincolnshire's first ever Road Safety Summit.

He said that historically governments haven't been bold enough in making infrastructure investments, but he said he will campaign for more investment in in-road investment in Lincolnshire.

Improvements often take too long to achieve, and there is more that can be done, he added.

Mr Hayes praised recent work on the A17 around Peppermint Junction, which "has been long called for and taken a long time to do", but he said more can be done on the A16.

Specifically, he said there should be better links between Spalding and Peterborough where people access the A1.

Four men and a woman have been jailed for a total of 50 years after subjecting a man to what police say was a "sustained and vicious attack" in Gainsborough two years ago.

On 15 November 2015, their victim was invited into a property and told to sit down before being punched, kicked and threatened at gunpoint.

He was handcuffed, hit with an extendable baton, and hit on his bare feet with a wooden stick. The group then subjected the victim to waterboarding, which simulates drowning.

The five, all from Gainsborough, were found guilty of false imprisonment. All four males were also found guilty of assault by occasioning ABH.

Alvaras Sepronas, 44, of Ashcroft Road, was jailed for 18 years. He was also found guilty of possessing firearms with intent to cause fear of violence, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possession of drugs with intent to supply, possession of a prohibited weapon for discharge of noxious liquid/gas/electrical incapacitation device/thing and possession of prohibited ammunition.

Jurgita Makaroviene, 35, of Ashcroft Road, was jailed for five years. She was also found guilty of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Egidijus Zukauskas, 44, of Parnell Street, was jailed for 10 years.

Vidas Aleksandravicius, 50, of Parnell Street, was jailed for 10 years. He was also found guilty of imprisonment, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a controlled drug.

Andrivs Svetickas, 27, of Parnell Street, was jailed for seven years. He was also found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a controlled drug.

Five men have been arrested on suspicion of theft after a cash machine was ripped from the wall at a shop in Crowle, North Lincolnshire.

The theft happened at about 04:00 this morning when several men ram raided McColl's newsagents on the High Street using heavy lifting machinery.

A white Mercedes car and a white Ford Transit van with its roof missing were also believed to be involved in the incident.

The van was later found burned out.

An historic collection box which was stolen from Boston Stump this week has been found.

The box, parts of which date back to the 16th century, was stolen along with collection tins from the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal and the RAF Association.

The rector, Reverend Alyson Buxton, says she's "delighted" and the team at the church is "looking forward to it coming home.

"It's been slightly damaged but it should be able to be repaired," she says.

It's believed to have been found by a police officer in a skatepark in the town.

The team at St Botolph's Church has been looking through CCTV and offered a £10 reward for the box to be returned.

Now entering its eighth year, organisers claim it's one of the largest off-road events in UK.

At least 20,000 people are expected to see motorbikes, along with quad bikes and sidecars, take to the sand.

The event will take place between 10:30 and 18:00 on Saturday and Sunday and is free for all spectators.

A cash machine has been ripped out of the wall of a shop in North Lincolnshire overnight.

It's thought to have happened in the early hours at McColl's on Crowle High Street.

The A161 remains closed in both directions while the damage is cleared up.

Patients at a Lincolnshire GP surgery will soon be able to see their doctor without making an appointment.

From December, Glebe Practice in Saxibly will have a new walk-in clinic for patients with acute problems which need immediate medical attention.

The walk-in service near Lincoln will operate between 08:00 and 09:30 and it will run on a first come, first served basis.

It's hoped that this will free up pre-booked appointments for patients with other needs such as long term conditions and medicine reviews.

As well as patients registered at the Saxibly surgery, it can also be used by patients registered in Skellingthorpe.

A year after it was first created in Lincolnshire, an innovative strategy aimed at helping people who feel uncomfortable or unsafe in bars and clubs is now being used around the UK.

Created by Hayley Child from Lincolnshire Police, someone who feels uncomfortable can go to a bar and "ask for Angela" and that will be treated as a discreet request for help.

Ms Child says it's not always easy for someone to get out of an awkward situation, and this is a safe and subtle way of doing it.

As well as being used across Lincolnshire, it's now been introduced in several other towns and cities around the UK.

Justin Hudson, manager of Butlers Venue Bar in Gloucester, has seen the scheme in action after he introduced it at his bar:

Doctors in Lincolnshire say they're worried people are risking their health because they're not getting enough of the so-called "sunshine vitamin".

Vitamin D keeps bones, teeth and muscles healthy, and deficiency is more common in the autumn and winter when there's less sunshine.

In spring and summer, most people get all the vitamin D they need from sunshine, but it can also be found in oily fish, red meat, egg yolks and some spreads and cereals.

Babies and people who aren't often outdoors are the most at risk of deficiency - particularly people who are frail or housebound.

Dr Radi Sultan, from Ingham Surgery in Lincoln, says people at risk should supplement their intake of the vitamin:

Talks are being held today between rail operator Northern and the RMT Union in an effort to avoid strike action next week.

Workers are expected to walk out next Wednesday in an ongoing dispute over driver-only operated trains.

If the strike goes ahead, it will be the 11th day of industrial action on Northern rail services this year.

About 100 delegates from across the region are taking part, including the Minister of State for Transport and MP for South Holland and the Deepings John Hayes, Lincolnshire's Police and Crime Commissioner, members of Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership, and first responders.

A number of initiatives are being showcased at the conference, including a scheme to give training for community volunteers to operate speed guns.

A decision to re-open Grantham's A&E overnight could be made by Lincolnshire health bosses early next week.

The town ceased to have a 24-hour A&E service 15 months ago due to a shortage of doctors across Lincolnshire.

Since then, thousands of people have petitioned for its reopening, with several protests held and politicians on all sides calling for the overnight service to resume.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust says it has "always remained committed to fully reopening the A&E as soon as it is safe to do so".

The trust adds that it's been "working hard" to recruit and retain doctors, and it now has 22 middle-grade doctors - one more than the minimum needed to safely run the county's three A&E units.

The trust board's decision on Tuesday will then be subject to approval from NHS Improvement before any changes can be made.
