'Drug waste' cleaned up at taxpayer's expense

Leeds City Council's cleaning team have tweeted this picture and they say it's from drug waste.
It was cleaned up using taxpayers' money, they also say they're trying find the culprits:

Warning of "huge void" in Keighley as community workers face the axe
It happened in the town centre at about 10:30 on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old woman was walking along Commercial Street when a man came up to her and stole her purse. He then drove off at speed in a black Ford Focus.
The suspect is white and was wearing a dark hoodie, grey jogging bottoms and blue trainers.

Bradford's flood strategy throws up 'question marks'
A senior politician in Bradford is warning that the council's proposed flooding strategy is "throwing up question marks."
Leader of the district's Liberal Democrats Jeanette Sunderland brought plans to combat floods in the district before a scrutiny meeting last night.
Council officers argued the proposed flood management strategy would allocate help and information to the flood-hit areas that need it.
HS2 proposals laid out for public
In about six years' time work is due to start on HS2, but how will the controversial new rail service affect Leeds?
Well the people behind the scheme have released a fact sheet that aims to address people's concerns and questions about HS2.
It includes some artist impressions of how Leeds station will look.
HS2 are proposing to build five new platforms that will connect to the existing building.
But it will mean that roads around the station will have to be redesigned.

Leeds United: Luke Murphy joins Burton Albion on loan
Burton Albion have signed midfielder Luke Murphy on loan from Championship rivals Leeds United until the end of the season.
Murphy has made 111 appearances for Leeds since arriving from Crewe for a fee of about £1m in July 2013.
But the 27-year-old has played in just one first-team game this season, in a 1-0 EFL Cup win at Luton in August.

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for a set, like the one on the picture, to reconstruct a house fire that they're investigating.
Officers say it's the last item they need to make the reconstruction complete and they're asking the public if they can help.
They say that "the TV’s are only required to furnish the room to replicate the furniture in the home and will be destroyed in the reconstruction."

The funeral of Yassar Yaqub, 28, from Huddersfield, who was shot dead by police on a motorway slip road has been held.

Driver dies after being discovered slumped at the wheel
A man has died after being found unconscious at the wheel of his car in Leeds last night.
He was found at about 23:40 slumped in his VW Golf at traffic lights on South Accommodation Road near to Cross Green Lane.
The 59-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead a shortly afterwards.
There had been no signs of a crash.
